Paul Mashburn

I'm a '64 Harriman High School, and a '72 University of Tennessee graduate that has lived in Harriman, Tennessee most of my life. I consider it home, and even though the city has seen tough times, I still support and love the little town.

I spent four years in the Air Force as a Security Policeman, with one year in Vietnam ('66-'67), before going on to college.

I worked as an advertising manager for the Roane County NEWS for 5 years, before moving on to Oak Ridge where I spent 29 years, ending my career in communications, telecommunications, and computing.

I am currently involved in restoring the old Princess Theatre in town, and it is our hope that this will usher in a new era of business.

However, I have always been intrigued with photography. I did sports, fashion, news, and wedding photography for a time, but even after I started a career where photography was no longer a part of the work, I kept firing away for personal reasons and to document my life. The photos came in handy for my personal blog http://mushysmoochings.blogspot.com. I still write there quite a bit, but documenting the theater restoration project keeps me pretty busy.
